A special event permit does not give permission to be inside the park after it has closed. For those who have ceremonies right before sunset, it is your responsibility to notify the bride, groom, all guests and vendors that they must be out of the park at the specific time the clock indicates. Any people not removed from the specific time will be police escorted off the grounds and could be imposed with a trespassing citation.”
Sand Key Beach Park address is 1060 Gulf Blvd., Clearwater, FL 33767 and located just south of Clearwater Beach, Florid. It offers many photo opts for your wedding pictures including a rock jetty, Park Setting and long stretches of beach. It also has some wild flowers and sea oats for nice photos. The colorful sunsets are breath taking and a perfect backdrop for your beach wedding ceremony or elopement.
Our preferred wedding sites at Sand Key Park are at the end of Boardwalk #1 by the Rock Jetty and Boardwalk #8 near the Sheraton Sand Key Beach. Our preferred site is at the Rock Jetty, it offers more privacy and better photo opportunities then the other locations. If you are staying at the Sheraton Sand Key Beach you may prefer out Boardwalk #8 as your wedding site.
Our wedding staff has performed numerous weddings at Sand Key Beach over the years. Lately there has been less maintained beach areas and some overgrowth. The permit fee for Sand Key Beach is not included in your wedding package price. The cost of the special event wedding permit for this wedding site varies depending on the number of guest and is between $214-$321.
There is no park entrance fee but the cost of parking is a flat rate of $5 car parking fee. Beach wheelchairs are available at this location at no additional charge, but must be requested beforehand. You may reserve beach wheel chairs if need be.
This beautiful park has two distinct areas and covers over 95 acres are located on Sand Key. Clearwater Pass, leading from the Gulf to the Intracoastal waterway, separates the park from the popular resort area of Clearwater Beach. The park welcomes more than one million each year.
